Co-Founded by Bret Love & Mary Gabbett, Green Global Travel is an ecotourism, nature / wildlife conservation & cultural preservation magazine. More about us.
Megan is currently attending Kennesaw State University, where she is studying Communication with a concentration in Public Relations and a minor in Marketing. She is also the Editor-in-Chief of Kennesaw State University’s newspaper, The Sentinel. Her interest in travel stems from her love of beautiful scenery and wildlife. She hopes to use her journalism and social media skills to promote Green Global Travel and the work that they do. She eventually wants to pursue a career in the Communication/PR field.
Karoline is currently pursuing a marketing major at Emory University. She spent the past summer exploring methods to improve sustainability of the beaches of Rhode Island. Being born and raised in the Northeast, she is enjoying the different lifestyle of now living in Georgia. She is passionate about both travel and sustainability, and therefore is very excited to be a part of the Green Global Travel team.
Meredith recently returned to her hometown in the San Francisco Bay Area after a year of traveling across Africa, Europe, and North America. Some of the highlights of her trip include hiking Mt. Kenya, learning about community-based conservation in Africa, and seeing the changing leaves in New England for the first time. Next, Meredith hopes to travel to India and Southeast Asia. She graduated from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada where she majored in Political Science and African Studies, and minored in perpetual rain defense strategies. While traveling, and in her spare time, Meredith is an avid photographer and adventurous foodie. She is excited to be able to combine her passion for sustainable travel and development with her interest in blogging and social media here at Green Global Travel!
This is Amanda Richmond, a senior at the University of North Texas. After graduation she plans to attend graduate school and pursue a masters degree in Public Health. Her ultimate goal is to travel around the world while educating people on infectious disease prevention methods.
Jillian graduated from Emory University with a degree in Creative Writing and minors in Environmental Studies and Linguistics. A traveler, writer, scuba diver, and runner, her love for outdoor adventure and environmental awareness is evident in her passion. She is eager to receive her Masters in science journalism and communication, hoping to educate on health, environmental conservation and preservation, and science technology. She believes 100% in Isak Dinesen’s mantra: “The cure for anything is saltwater: tears, sweat, or the sea.”
Margot has loved traveling for as long as she can remember and enjoyed a number of trips to Europe growing up. She is looking forward to studying at the University of Bologna next semester, and hopes to use the time in Europe to explore nearby destinations like Croatia, Germany or Switzerland. Margot is currently a student at Duke University studying International Comparative Studies and Italian. She is also an editor for Duke’s newspaper, The Chronicle. In the future, she hopes to combine her love of writing with her passion for human rights, and in the meantime, she is thrilled to be able to promote Green Global Travel!
