    The Dubliners were one of Ireland's most popular folk groups. They had some very good songs such as Whiskey In the Jar which was a also a hit for Irish rock band Thin Lizzy. They were very good songwriter's as well. The very well known members of the group were Ronnie Drew and Luke Kelly R.I.P. My late Grandfather who I previously mentioned when I was writing the review on the western film Vera Cruz was also a fan of The Dubliners. There was also a song about the late Luke Kelly The Dublin Minstrel which was sang by fellow Irish singer Paddy Reilly who also joined The Dubliners.

    Eine Empfehlung an jeden, der für wenig Geld eine Zusammenstellung der besten und bekanntesten Songs der Band haben möchte. Es handelt sich überwiegend um Aufnahmen aus den 70ern, z.T. Livemitschnitte. Natürlich werden echte Dubliners-Fans das alles schon haben und noch besseres kennen, aber der interessierte Laie auf diesem Gebiet kann damit seine Musiksammlung zielgenau vervollständigen. Neben Dauerbrennern wie "Whiskey in the Jar" oder "The Wild Rover" sind auch Lieder wie "Rocky Road to Dublin" (bekannt aus Sherlock-Holmes-Film 1) oder "Fields of Athenry" (eine Fußball-Hymne der Iren) in guter Qualität zu hören. Die drei Scheiben liegen getrennt in einfachen Pappschubern in einer Metallbox. Die Schuber kann man ja durch Plastikhalter ersetzen. Der Versender "Zoverstocks" hat schnell reagiert, aber der Versand von Guernsey hat über drei Wochen gebraucht. Doch bei einem Preis von weniger als 6 € will ich nicht meckern.
